Davin Michael Stedman

Davin is one of one. In the history of Public Market, countless authors, buskers, and tour guides have written, sung, and strolled among the day stalls and the red bricks of Pike Place. But until Stedman arrived mysteriously no one had managed to achieve what can be considered, the triple crown.

If he can say it, he can sing it, and if he can sing it, he can make it a saga.

A true force of nature, Davin brought back busker festivals, polished novels, delivered spontaneous speeches, promoted albums and put together social events at The Arctic Club such as The Greatest Gatsby.

Davin believes the underdog can always win, and that heroes walk among us but are often forgotten.

Join Davin on a tour. He calls them adventures. Sometimes he travels through time. He sometimes forgets he’s speaking in rhyme.

He’ll sing for you. It might be pop, opera, or the blues. But if he is an open book, Davin prefers the kind where it’s your adventure to choose.

Whether you know him from The Staxx Brothers, or heard the legend of how he became a dancehall star in Jamaica, Davin loves to swap stories and simply make the world a better, if not kinder place.

He calls Seattle home.

And he has a nice resume:

As a musician he’s worked with Los Lobos, Bernie Worrell, Sly & Robbie, Earl “Chinna” Smith, Dr. Fink from The Revolution, Eric Struthers from Neville Brothers, he’s been backed by Dr. John’s band. He has toured as the opening act for Alain Johannes (Queens of The Stone Age, Chris Cornell)

He’s opened for rappers, Sir Mix Alot, Warren G, Tone Loc, and Chali 2na.

Behind the scenes he helped stage concerts for Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Elton John, Taylor Swift, The Arctic Monkeys, and many more.

Davin has emceed his share of major music festivals but of all the work he’s done support fellow artists, his proudest moment was in college. He helped Ray Manzerek & Michael McClure pack a poetry reading in an enormous hall to the surprise of everyone involved, except himself.
